<p>The Department of Personnel (<a href="https://dop.rajasthan.gov.in/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">DoP</a>), Rajasthan, has invited bids for the installation of rooftop solar systems on Rajasthan secretariat buildings.</p>
<p>The scope of the work would include the design, supply, testing, and commissioning of 970 kW grid-connected rooftop solar projects on Rajasthan secretariat buildings under the renewable energy service company (RESCO) model. The contract will also include operation and maintenance (O&amp;M) services for 25 years.</p>
<p>The last date for the submission of online bids is September 21, 2020, and the pre-bid meeting will take place on August 27, 2020.</p>
<p>Interested bidders will have to submit an amount of ₹700,000 (~$9,361) as the bid security amount. For small-scale industries of Rajasthan, the bid security amount is ₹175,000 (~$2,340). The successful bidder should submit an amount of ₹1.75 million (~$23,403)/MW as the performance bank guarantee (PBG), and for small-scale industries, the PBG is ₹437,000 (~$5,844)/MW.</p>
<p>To take part in the bidding process, the bidder should have designed, supplied, installed, and commissioned at least one grid-connected solar power system with a minimum capacity of 250 kW and a cumulative capacity of 1 MW in the last five years.  In case the bidder is a consortium, it should incorporate a project company within 45 days from the issuance of the letter of award (LoA).</p>
<p>The net worth of the bidder must be ₹30 million (~$401,210), and in the case of a consortium, the net worth has to be fulfilled by the lead member only.</p>
<p>According to Mercom’s <a href="https://mercomindia.com/product/india-solar-project-tracker/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">India Solar Project Tracker</a>, Rajasthan has ~300 MW of rooftop solar installations, and it accounted for over 10% of the cumulative rooftop installations in India as of June 2020.</p>
<p>Recently, the Rajasthan State Agricultural Marketing Board <a href="https://mercomindia.com/rajasthan-tenders-rooftop-solar/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">floated</a> a tender for about 1.6 MW of grid-tied rooftop solar systems to be set up at various locations in the state. The project is estimated to cost ₹103.3 million (~$1.37 million) and is expected to be completed in a year.</p>
<p>Previously, it was <a href="https://mercomindia.com/delhi-legislative-assembly-green-rooftop-solar/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">reported</a> that the Delhi Legislative Assembly building went green with the installation of a 100 kW rooftop solar system.</p>
