					</table><p>Textile firm <a href="https://bombaydyeing.com/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Bombay Dyeing and Manufacturing Company</a> has commissioned a 2.5 MW rooftop solar project at its Rasayani facility in Maharashtra, aiming to reduce energy costs, enhance reliability, and improve long-term sustainability of its manufacturing operations.</p>
<p>The system, installed at the company’s polyester and textile manufacturing unit in Patalganga, was executed by <a href="https://bubenergy.com/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">B. U. Bhandari Energy</a> under a capital expenditure model.</p>
<p>The installation is expected to generate approximately 3.6–3.8 million units of electricity annually, reducing electricity costs by around 35–40%. The project is estimated to deliver lifetime savings of ₹450 million (~$4.9 million) to ₹500 million (~$5.4 million), depending on tariff escalation.</p>
<p>The rooftop system comprises Jinko’s 4,107 bifacial solar modules, each rated at 585 Wp, along with Growatt inverters. The installation spans approximately 15,000–16,000 square meters and uses a short rail mounting structure optimized for industrial rooftops.</p>
<p>Bombay Dyeing operates energy-intensive manufacturing processes that require a continuous and reliable power supply. The solar project is expected to significantly reduce reliance on grid electricity, improve energy cost predictability, and enhance energy security amid rising grid tariffs.</p>
<p>In addition to financial benefits, the installation is estimated to offset around 3,000–3,200 tons of carbon dioxide emissions annually, supporting the company’s sustainability goals and cleaner production practices.</p>
<p>B.U. Bhandari Energy designed the system to align with the facility’s load profile and maximize generation within the available rooftop space by using bifacial modules and an optimized layout.</p>
<p>The project was executed in phases to ensure adherence to timelines despite challenges such as monsoon conditions and complex logistics across large rooftop areas. Careful planning, weather protection measures, and cross-team coordination enabled completion without disrupting plant operations.</p>

					</table><p>Plastic components manufacturer <a href="https://www.punepolymers.com/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Pune Polymers</a> has installed two rooftop solar systems totaling 705 kW across its manufacturing facilities in Maharashtra, aiming to reduce grid dependency, lower peak demand charges, improve cost predictability, and enhance reliability.</p>
<p>The installations are expected to generate over 910,000 units of electricity annually, helping reduce power bills by approximately 30–40%. The move is projected to deliver annual savings of ₹7.3 million (~$78,603) to ₹9.1 million (~$97,984).</p>
<p>The project, executed by <a href="https://bubenergy.com/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">B. U. Bhandari Energy</a>, comprises 400 kW at the company’s Chakan facility and 305 kW at its Waluj plant. The system has been deployed under a capital expenditure model and is integrated with net metering, enabling the company to optimize solar energy consumption while exporting excess power to the grid.</p>
<p>Plant-wise, the Chakan system is expected to generate approximately 531,182 kWh annually at a specific yield of 3.6, while the Waluj system is expected to generate approximately 385,210 kWh at a specific yield of 3.4.</p>
<p>Pune Polymers, established in 1991, manufactures plastic molded components and has diversified beyond its initial association with Bajaj Auto into sectors such as automotive, defense, electrical, telecommunications, healthcare, and pharmaceuticals. The company operates six manufacturing units with energy-intensive processes that require continuous and reliable power.</p>
<p>The solar installation is expected to significantly reduce the company’s reliance on grid electricity, particularly during high-tariff periods under time-of-day pricing mechanisms. In addition to cost savings, the project is estimated to offset around 751 tons of carbon dioxide emissions annually.</p>
<p>B.U. Bhandari Energy customized the system based on the company’s load profile to ensure optimal performance. The installations use Waaree Energies modules and Growatt inverters and are equipped with real-time monitoring to track generation and system performance.</p>
<p>The project was completed within the planned timeline without disrupting ongoing operations at either facility.</p>

					</table><p><a href="https://www.fleetguard-filtrum.com/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Fleetguard Filters</a>, a provider of filtration solutions for automotive, industrial, and engine applications, has commissioned a 1.055 MW rooftop solar system at its plant in Pune, Maharashtra.</p>
<p>Executed under an operational expenditure (OPEX) model by <a href="https://bubenergy.com/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">B. U. Bhandari Energy</a>, the project is designed to curb grid power purchases and shrink the company’s carbon footprint without incurring upfront capital expenditure.</p>
<p>The company’s pre-solar consumption averaged approximately 450,000 kWh per month. With the new system online, Fleetguard Filters expects electricity bills to decrease by approximately 40–50%, resulting in immediate savings compared to prevailing grid tariffs.</p>
<p>The system uses high-efficiency TOPCon modules from Goldi paired with Solis K5G Pro 110 string inverters. The string architecture supports granular MPPT control across multiple roof blocks and orientations, helping stabilize output under partial shading and typical brownfield constraints. Standard protection, earthing, and remote monitoring enable performance tracking and alerts.</p>
<p>Safety and logistics were central to execution on an active industrial site. Work-at-height protocols, mandatory PPE, certified fall-arrest systems, and clearly demarcated zones were enforced, supported by daily toolbox talks. Lift planning and material movement were coordinated to avoid production interference and maintain safe access throughout the build.</p>
<p>B.U. Bhandari Energy reported zero incidents, emphasizing clean cable management and high-quality workmanship.</p>
<p>Under the OPEX arrangement, the developer is responsible for operations and maintenance, including routine cleaning, preventive checks, and remote diagnostics to minimize downtime. The component selection and string-level visibility are intended to support reliable generation over the system’s service life, though performance ratio targets and carbon-avoidance estimates were not provided.</p>
<p>Fleetguard has also entrusted B.U. Bhandari Energy with the installation of a 1 MW rooftop solar project at its Jamshedpur plant.</p>
<p>B.U. Bhandari Energy has earlier <a href="https://www.mercomindia.com/zensar-technologies-expects-3-year-roi-for-its-solar-installation-in-pune/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">commissioned</a> a new solar installation totaling 620 kW for Zensar Technologies in Pune. 					</table><p>Experience, engineering, and engagement technology solutions company <a href="https://www.zensar.com/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Zensar Technologies</a> has commissioned a new solar installation totaling 620 kW at its Pune facilities in partnership with <a href="https://bubenergy.com/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">B. U. Bhandari Energy</a>.</p>
<p>The project, comprising a 350 kW rooftop system and a 270 kW solar carport, will generate about 900,000 kWh of clean energy annually, offsetting a significant share of the company’s power needs.</p>
<p>The two-phase project builds on Zensar’s earlier solar adoption. The systems utilize Rayzon modules and Sungrow inverters, mounted on a combination of RCC rooftop and custom-designed carport structures.</p>
<p>Before the project, Zensar’s monthly electricity consumption averaged 225,000 kWh. With the new systems in place, the company expects a three-year return on investment (RoI), translating into substantial savings on power bills while reducing grid dependency by 30%.</p>
<p>The project faced space and logistics constraints due to the limited rooftop area and narrow carport structure. To overcome these challenges, B.U. Bhandari Energy adopted a pre-assembly approach by fabricating structures off-site and transporting them in smaller batches for installation.</p>
<p>Safety was a key focus throughout the implementation process. The confined rooftop and low-clearance carport required extensive measures, including fall-arrest systems, strict personal protective equipment compliance, and designated safety zones to prevent accidents in tight spaces.</p>
<p>“We recently completed Phase II of our solar installation at the premises of Zensar Technologies. It was a successful installation of the repeat order Zensar Technologies have entrusted us with. These installations now generate approximately 900,000 units of clean energy annually, helping Zensar Technologies reduce its carbon footprint and contribute to a greener, more sustainable future,” said Kushal Shah, Director at B. U. Bhandari Energy.</p>
<p>As part of the wider IT industry, Zensar’s clean energy transition reflects a growing movement among major technology firms to integrate sustainability into core operations.</p>
<p>Data centers and IT campuses are typically power-intensive, making renewable energy adoption a strategic priority for cost optimization as well as emissions reduction. By embracing on-site solar and energy-efficient infrastructure, companies like Zensar are not only reducing operating costs but also aligning with global sustainability goals and client expectations for greener supply chains.</p>
