<p>The Public Works Department (PWD) of Amravati division in the state of Maharashtra has issued a tender to install 2 MW of grid-connected rooftop solar PV systems.</p>
<p>The project will be developed under RESCO model with net metering facility and will be spread across 63 rest houses in different talukas and district headquarters. The scope of work includes the design, supply, installation, testing, and commissioning of the project.</p>
<p>The successful bidder will also be responsible for the operation and maintenance (O&amp;M) services of the project for a period of 25 years.</p>
<p>The last date for bid submission is January 31, 2019. Both the technical and financial bids will open on February 4, 2019.</p>
<p>To be eligible to bid, a bidder should have executed at an aggregate of 1,000 kW of grid-connected solar PV projects and a single solar project of minimum 300 kW capacity under RESCO model on any government, semi-government building during last three years financial years.</p>
<p>The bidder should also have an annual turnover of maximum ₹180 million (~$2.55 million) during any year in the last five financial years.</p>
<p>Of late, many other states have also issued tenders for rooftop projects in the recent past under RESCO model.</p>
<p>For instance, the Madhya Pradesh Urja Vikas Nigam Limited (MPUVNL) recently tendered 35 MW of grid-connected rooftop solar to be installed across Madhya Pradesh on aggregated basis in <a href="https://mercomindia.com/mpuvnl-tenders-30-mw-grid-connected-rooftop-solar/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">August 2017.</a>  The auction for this project yielded <a href="https://mercomindia.com/mpuvnl-rooftop-solar-tender-steep-dip-tariffs/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">unexpectedly</a> low tariffs for rooftop solar PV in India as AMP Solar India <a href="https://mercomindia.com/madhya-pradesh-solar-rooftop-tender-lowest-tariff/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">quoted</a> the lowest tariff (L1) of ₹1.58 (~$ 0.022)/kWh.</p>
<p><a href="https://mercomindia.com/breda-rooftop-solar-rfs-15-mw/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Recently,</a> the Bihar Renewable Energy Development Agency (<a href="http://www.breda.bih.nic.in/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">BREDA</a>) issued a request for proposal (RfP) for the installation of 15 MW of grid connected rooftop solar PV system under RESCO model with net metering facility .</p>
<p>According to the Mercom India <a href="https://mercomindia.com/product/india-solar-project-tracker/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Solar Project Tracker</a>, Maharashtra has installed 1.36 GW of large scale solar power projects and ~1.9 GW of solar projects are under development pipeline.</p>
