India had a record year for renewable energy capacity additions in 2024, with solar alone contributing 25.2 GW. For renewable energy to grow at a faster pace and the country to reach its 2030 clean energy goals, policy and regulatory uncertainty, supply chain limitations, transmission infrastructure shortages, and market volatility must be overcome.
These issues will be discussed in depth at the fifth edition of the Mercom India Renewables Summit, set to take place on July 24-25, 2025, at the Hyatt Regency, New Delhi.
A key session during the summit on July 25, titled “Scaling Renewable Projects: Overcoming Challenges for Timely Execution,” will address the challenges faced by renewable power generators as they attempt to increase the country’s renewable energy capacity and ensure timely project completion.
The one-hour session will be held between 3:20 PM and 4:20 PM.
The panel discussion will feature industry experts from the renewable energy industry, including Vaibhav Roongta, Chief Business Officer at Rays Power Infra, Purnendu Chaubey, Senior VP at ReNew, Ajay Kumar Sinha, Additional General Manager at Solar Energy Corporation of India, and Deepak Ushadevi, MD and CEO at Ciel et Terre Solar.
This session will highlight the best practices and innovations for navigating supply chain constraints, fast-tracking regulatory approvals, and enhancing project execution strategies to meet clean energy targets.
The 2025 summit features three side events: the Mercom India Awards, the Cleantech Startup Pitch Competition, and the inaugural Renewable Energy Exhibition.
The Mercom India Awards will honor outstanding achievements and the latest technological innovations driving the transformation of India’s energy markets.
The Renewable Energy Exhibition will provide a platform for the top industry players and decision-makers to showcase their latest products and services.
