Surana Solar Wins Bid to Develop 5 MW of Rooftop Solar in Andhra Pradesh

Surana Solar, a solar project developer and module manufacturer, has announced that it has won bids to develop 5 MW of grid-connected rooftop solar in Kakinada City, Andhra Pradesh. Bids were invited by the Kakinada Smart City Corporation and the company emerged as the lowest bidder by quoting a tariff of Rs.5.25 (~$0.081)/kWh. The project will be executed under the RESCO model.

The scope of work includes site survey, investigation, design, engineering, supply, installation, commissioning, synchronizing and maintenance of the project on net-metering basis.

Further, the company also disclosed that it has received an order from Tejas India Solar Energy for the supply of solar modules at a cost of Rs.140 million (~$2.16 million), for a 3 MW solar project located in Kodakandla Village, in the Medak District of Telangana.
