Sterling and Wilson’s Revenue Drops 23% but Profit Surges in Q4 FY 2026

Sterling and Wilson Renewable Energy (SWREL) reported a consolidated revenue from operations of ₹19.46 billion (~$207.57 million) for the fourth quarter (Q4) of the financial year (FY) 2026, a 22.8% year-over-year (YoY) decline from ₹25.19 billion (~$268.69 million) in the same quarter of the previous year.
The company’s profit after tax stood at ₹1.42 billion (~$15.15 million), a 157.4% YoY increase from ₹550.1 million (~$5.87 million) in the corresponding quarter last year.
Its earnings per share (EPS) for Q4 came in at ₹5.76 (~$0.061), compared to ₹2.37 (~$0.025) a year ago.
Full Year 2026
For the full year FY26, SWREL reported consolidated revenue of ₹75.48 billion (~$804.8 million), a 19.8% increase from ₹63.02 billion (~$672.2 million) in FY25.
Despite the revenue growth, the company reported a net loss of ₹2.96 billion (~$31.6 million) for the year, compared to a profit of ₹855.5 million (~$9.1 million) in the previous year. The decline was primarily due to exceptional items amounting to ₹6.11 billion (~$73 million) during the year.
Annual EPS stood at a negative ₹13.25, compared to ₹3.49 in FY25.
The company reported operational EBITDA of ₹4.44 billion (~$47.4 million) for FY26, up 53% YoY, supported by improved execution and expanded lender facilities.
SWREL said it commissioned approximately 4.5 GW of projects during the year, marking its highest-ever annual execution. The company recorded order inflows of ₹100.62 billion (~$1.07 billion), a 43% increase YoY, and ended the year with an unexecuted order value of ₹118.13 billion (~$1.26 billion).
Its operations and maintenance (O&M) portfolio expanded to 13.5 GW, providing recurring revenue visibility.
The company reported a consolidated revenue from operations of ₹20.92 billion (~$231.42 million million) for the third quarter of FY26, a 14% YoY increase from ₹18.37 billion (~$203.21 million).
The company recently won Coal India’s auction for the engineering, procurement, and construction package for a 875 MW grid-connected solar project at Rajasthan Rajya Vidyut Utpadan Nigam’s 2,000 MW Solar Park in Pugal, Rajasthan.
In December, SWERL secured an engineering, procurement, and construction order worth ₹13.81 billion (~$154.5 million) from Adani Green Energy for solar projects in Khavda, Gujarat.
