SJVN Issues EPC Tender for 75 MW Solar Project in Bihar

SJVN Green Energy, a wholly owned subsidiary of SJVN, has issued a tender for the engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) package of a 75 MW solar project at Banka, Bihar.

The last date to submit the bids is September 10, 2024.

The bidder must pay an earnest money deposit of ₹75 million (~$895,087).

The scope of work covers the design, engineering, supply, erection, testing, and commissioning of the project. The selected bidder must operate and maintain the project for three years.

In February, SJVN Green Energy had invited bids for the construction of 132 kV transmission lines, including bays, for its 125 MW Jamui Phase-I solar project and 75 MW Banka solar project in Bihar.

To be eligible, the bidder should be an Indian company registered in India.

The bidders should have designed, supplied, and erected or supervised the erection and commissioning of a solar photovoltaic (SPV)-based grid-connected project of a cumulative capacity of 30 MW or higher as an EPC contractor. Of the 30 MW project, at least one must be of 10 MW or higher and should have been in operation for at least three months.

The bidders can also be developers of SPV-based grid-connected projects totalling 30 MW or higher. Of this, at least one project must be of 10 MW or higher and should have been in operation for at least three years.

The bidders should have executed an industrial project either as a developer or as an EPC contractor in either one of these sector – power, steel, oil and gas, petrochemical, fertilizer, cement, or coal mining, including a coal handling plant or any other process industry. The project value must be at least ₹1.14 billion (~$13.59 million) in a single project or work. It should be in operation for at least six months.

The bidders’ annual average turnover for the last three financial years, ending on March 31, 2024, should be ₹1.14 billion (~$13.59 million).

Their net worth must be positive during the immediate previous financial year and in at least two out of the three preceding financial years.

In April, SJVN Green Energy invited bids to commission a 100 MW solar project in the Didwana-Kuchaman District of Rajasthan.
