SJVN Green Energy has invited bids for developing GETCO-connected wind power projects of up to 100 MW in Gujarat with comprehensive 10-year operations and maintenance (O&M).
The last date to submit the bids is November 20, 2024.
Bidders are invited to propose wind projects with a minimum capacity of 50 MW and a maximum capacity of 100 MW. They can submit proposals for a single project of either 50 MW or 100 MW or two separate projects of 50 MW each.
The bidders must furnish an earnest money deposit (EMD) of ₹27 million (~$319,958) for 50 MW and ₹54 million (~$639,916) for 100 MW projects.
The bidder’s scope of work includes developing wind projects, identifying and acquiring suitable land with the feasibility of establishing a wind power project, and transferring title or executing a lease deed in favor of SJVN Green Energy.
It also includes the design, engineering, procurement, manufacturing, assembly, supply, transportation, construction, erection, installation, testing, and commissioning of the projects, including the power evacuation facility up to the grid substation.
The projects must be commissioned within 480 days from the date of the Letter of Award (LOA). The bidder will also provide comprehensive O&M for 10 years.
To be eligible, the bidder should meet either one of these criteria:
- The bidder should have successfully executed grid-connected wind power projects on an engineering, procurement, construction (EPC) basis for a cumulative capacity of 30 MW or higher, out of which at least one project should have been of 10 MW or higher capacity.
- The bidder should be a developer of grid-connected wind power projects of a cumulative installed capacity of 30 MW or higher, out of which at least one project should have been of 10 MW or higher capacity executed under a single LOA or for a single project.
- The bidder should have manufactured or supplied wind turbine generators (WTGs) with a cumulative capacity of 30 MW or higher. The bidder should also have an LOA/order for the supply of WTGs for a single project with a cumulative capacity of 10 MW or higher.
The bidder must have an annual average turnover of ₹1.61 billion (~$13.75 million) for 50 MW capacity and ₹3.22 billion (~$38 million) for 100 MW. The bidder’s net worth should not be negative.
In October, SJVN Green also issued an EPC tender for solar photovoltaic power projects up to a capacity of 200 MW in Gujarat under GUVNL Phase XXII.
According to Mercom India Research, India added 706.5 MW of wind energy capacity in Q3 2024, a 72% year-over-year (YoY) increase from 411.5 MW in Q3 3033.
