SJVN Green Energy Tenders BOS Package for 75 MW Solar Project in Bihar

SJVN Green Energy, a wholly-owned subsidiary of SJVN, has invited bids for the supply of a balance of system (BoS) package along with comprehensive operation and maintenance (O&M) of three years for a 75 MW grid-connected solar project at Jamui district in Bihar.

The last date for the submission of the bids is August 31, 2023. Bids will be opened on the same day.

The cost of the bidding document is ₹5,000 (~$60.47).

Bidders must furnish an Earnest Money Deposit of ₹23.5 million (~$284,239).

The scope of work includes designing, engineering, supplying, constructing, erecting, testing, and commissioning the 75 MW solar project. The works to be undertaken exclude the supply of solar photovoltaic modules.

The successful bidder must complete the construction within 325 days from the letter of award.

Bidders must have experience in developing BOS packages of solar-based grid-connected projects with a minimum cumulative installed capacity of 30 MW or higher, of which at least one project should have been of at least 10 MW capacity. The reference project must have been operational for at least three months before the issuance of the tender.

Bidders should have experience executing an industrial project either as developers or as engineering, procurement, and construction contractors. The estimated value of an individual project handled must be worth ₹352.5 million (~$4.2 million), and the project should have been operational for at least six months before the issuance of the tender.

Bidders must have constructed at least one electrical substation of 33 kV or above, consisting of equipment such as 33 kV or above voltage level circuit breakers and power transformers. The substation should have been in operation for at least six months before the issuance of the tender.

The average annual turnover of the bidders in the last three financial years should have been ₹352 million (~$4.2 million).

Recently, SJVN’s subsidiary invited bids for the supply of a BoS package for a 200 MW grid-connected solar project which is to be developed at Khavda Solar Park in Gujarat.

The Ministry of New and Renewable Energy recently designated SJVN as the implementing body responsible for floating tenders for clean energy projects.
