Singareni Collieries Invites Bids for DPRs of Renewable Energy Projects

Government coal-mining company Singareni Collieries (TSCCL) has floated a tender for the preparation of a detailed project report (DPR) for 500 MW round-the-clock firm and dispatchable renewable energy (FDRE) in Telangana, Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh.
The last date to submit bids is October 11, 2024.
The project cost has been estimated at ₹1.5 million (~$17,955)
The scope of work covers wind resource assessment, solar radiation assessment, energy generation analysis, and technology updates for wind, solar, and BESS. It also encompasses reviewing connectivity and power evacuation systems, project clearances, project cost, financial analysis, project timeline, operation, and maintenance strategy, and preparing the initial feasibility report and draft and final DPR.
Bidders must have prepared a DPR for a 50 MW wind power project or a 100 MW solar power project. Alternatively, they should have established a battery energy storage system (BESS) of 5 MW/ 10 MWh capacity or set up a 100 MW renewable energy project.
Bidders should have ten years of consulting/advisory experience in the renewable energy sector. They should have worked with public sector undertakings and state government agencies in the renewable energy sector.
The consultant must prepare the DPR to comply with the latest FDRE tenders issued by NTPC, NHPC, SECI, and SJVN.
The Ministry of New and Renewable Energy exempted renewable energy parks developed by central public sector undertakings or their joint ventures from having their DPRs vetted by state government committees.
Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI) has invited bids to empanel agencies to conduct site studies and prepare a detailed project report for upcoming solar projects.
Recently, Essar Renewables, Juniper Green Energy, Serentica Renewables, Hexa Climate Solutions, and Avaada Energy were declared winners in NHPC’s auction to supply 1,200 MW of FDRE power from Interstate Transmission System (ISTS)-connected renewable power projects coupled with an energy storage system (Tranche II).
