NHPC Tenders 7.6 MW Rooftop Solar Projects Under PM Surya Ghar

NHPC has invited bids to install rooftop solar projects of a cumulative capacity of 7,684 kW on its buildings under PM Surya Ghar: Muft Bijli Yojana.

The last date to submit the bids is October 29, 2024. Bids will be opened on November 6.

The engineering, procurement, and construction of the projects must be completed in nine months.

The successful bidder will be responsible for the comprehensive operation and maintenance for five years from the project’s commissioning date.

The projects must be executed in Jammu and Kashmir (Zone 1) with a total capacity of 4,102 kW, Himachal Pradesh (Zone 2) with a total capacity of 1,710 kW, Uttar Pradesh (Zone 3) with a total capacity of 774 kW, and Sikkim, West Bengal and Manipur (Zone 4) with a total capacity of 1,098 kW.

The cost of the bid document is ₹5,000 (~$59.76) for Zone 1 and ₹1,500 (~$17.92) for Zones 2, 3, and 4.

Bidders must pay a bid security of ₹4 million (~$47,813) for Zone 1, ₹1.78 million (~$21,276) for Zone 2, ₹0.805 million (~$9,623) for Zone 3, and ₹1.14 million (~$13,627) for Zone 4.

Bidders should:

  • Have designed, supplied, erected, and commissioned grid-connected solar power projects of a cumulative capacity of 400 kW or higher, out of which at least one project should have been 40 kW, or
  • Have developed solar projects of a cumulative installed capacity of 400 kW or higher, out of which at least one project should have been of 40 kW, or
  • have executed in the last ten years either as a developer or as an EPC contractor in the process industry or infrastructure development of a single work having a minimum value of ₹40 million (~$478,124). They should have also executed at least one electrical substation of 11 kV or above voltage level, consisting of equipment such as 11 kV or above voltage level circuit breakers and power transformers, either as a developer or an EPC contractor.

The bidders’ average annual turnover in the previous three years must not be less than ₹81.2 million (~$970,586) for Zone I, ₹33.8 million (~$403,988) for Zone 2, ₹15.3 million (~$182,872) for Zone 3 and ₹21.7 million (~$259,371) for Zone 4.

Bidders should have a positive net worth in at least two out of three previous financial years.

The bidders working capital (current assets minus current liabilities) will be as follows:

  • ₹1 million (~$538,009) for Zone 1
  • ₹8 million (~$224,675) for Zone 2
  • ₹5 million (~$101,586) for Zone 3
  • ₹1 million (~$144,613) for Zone 4

In May, NHPC invited bids for the engineering, procurement, and construction of a 200 MW grid-connected solar power project to be set up in Gujarat State Electricity Corporation’s renewable energy park at Khavda (GSECL Stage-3).
