SECI Floats Tenders for 4.55 MW Rooftop Solar Projects in Five States

The Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI) has invited bids for the engineering, procurement, and construction of 4.55 MW of grid-connected rooftop solar projects at multiple educational institutions across Bihar, Chhattisgarh, Sikkim, Assam, and Manipur.
Bids must be submitted by May 2, 2025. Bids will be opened on May 5, 2025.
Bidders must furnish an earnest money deposit ranging from ₹900,000 (~$10,514) to ₹77,000 (~$899.53) with a bid processing fee of ₹6,000 (~$70.20).
Selected bidders must submit a performance bank guarantee of ₹3,375 (~$39.40)/kW for the Bihar and Chhattisgarh projects and ₹3,715 (~$43.37)/kW for Sikkim, Assam, and Manipur projects.
The maximum tariff rate to be quoted ranges from ₹5.15 (~$0.0602)/kWh to ₹4.59 (~$0.0536)/kWh.
The project capacities range from 85 kW to 1,000 kW.
The scope of work entails the design, engineering, supply, storage, civil work, erection, testing, and commissioning of the solar projects. It also involves providing operation and maintenance services for 25 years.
Successful bidders must use solar components that are compliant with the Indian Standards and the International Electrotechnical Commission requirements.
Bidders must have a net worth ranging from ₹765,000 (~$8,936.92) to ₹9 million (~$105,300) as of the last date of the previous financial year or at least seven days before the bid submission deadline.
Liquidated damages, equal to 50% of the PPA tariff, will be imposed for any shortfall in energy supply.
Recently, SECI invited bids to set up 400 MW of interstate transmission system (ISTS)-connected wind power projects under the build, own and operate model.
SECI also invited bids to set up cumulative 2.7 MW grid-connected floating solar projects with a battery energy storage system in Lakshadweep.
In February this year, SECI invited bids to select developers to set up 500 MW of ISTS-connected solar power projects.
