Renewable Power Capital, a pan-European renewables company, announced the acquisition of the Swedish and Finnish solar and onshore wind development business of Njordr AS, the Nordic renewable power subsidiary of Vanir Green Industries AS. The acquisition comprises 22 early-stage onshore wind and solar projects totaling up to 1.9 GW of capacity. With this transaction, Renewable Power Capital aims to gain Njordr’s expertise in project development.
Masdar (Abu Dhabi Future Energy Company PJSC), a UAE-based renewable energy developer, announced the acquisition of the 234 MW Valle Solar Project. The acquisition was made through its Iberian renewables subsidiary, Saeta Yield. The project, located in Spain’s Valencia region, has the potential to feature 259 MW of battery energy storage systems. The project is expected to be operational in the first half of 2027.
Enlight Renewable Energy, a renewable energy project developer, has secured a debt financing package that includes $773 million in construction loans for developing the Country Acres project, located near Sacramento, California. The project consists of 403 MW of solar and 688 MWh of energy storage systems. The project is expected to reach full commercial operation during the second half of 2026.
Masdar (Abu Dhabi Future Energy Company PJSC), a UAE-based renewable energy project developer, announced the signing of an agreement with Endesa, a Spanish multinational electric utility company, to acquire a 49.99% stake in four solar projects in Spain totaling 446 MW in capacity. The transaction has an enterprise value of €368 million (~$397.88 million). The acquisition is subject to regulatory approvals and other conditions. Masdar will invest €184 million (~$198.94 million) in the projects.
