Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI) has invited bids to select an agency to purchase or lease 800 acres of land for a 200 MW solar project in Madhya Pradesh.

Land registration in favor of SECI or execution of lease deeds for all land parcels must be completed within five months of receiving the notice to proceed.

The last day to submit the bids is September 23, 2024. Bids will be opened on the same day.

Bidders must furnish a tender processing fee of ₹25,000 (~$297) and an earnest money deposit of ₹2.21 million (~$26,341).

The selected agency must furnish 3% of the contract value as performance security within 30 days from the issuance of the notice to proceed.

The land must have a minimum global horizontal irradiation of 1900 kWh/m².

The land should be free of central or state government restrictions, including wildlife-protected areas, defense establishments, and national parks.

Bids for a combination of outright purchase and lease land are not allowed.

Land within a solar park may be offered if it can be transferred to SECI on an outright purchase basis under solar park rules and regulations.

The nearest point of the land parcels must be within 25 km of the proposed state transmission utility substation.

Bidders must have a minimum average annual turnover of ₹44.2 million (~$526,847) in the last three financial years.

The bidders’ net worth for the last financial year should be positive.
