Punjab Issues Tender for 2.3 MW Solar Systems in Government Hospitals

Punjab Health System Corporation has invited bids for the supply, installation, testing, and commissioning of a cumulative 2.3 MW capacity grid-connected rooftop and ground-mounted solar power systems in government hospitals in the state.

Bids must be submitted by January 24, 2025. Bids will be opened on the same day.

The scope of work includes maintenance of the projects for five years.

Bids must be submitted for the following projects:

  • Group-A (Gurdaspur and Pathankot government hospitals): Bidders must submit an earnest money deposit (EMD) of ₹211,500 (~$2,462.36) and a bidding document fee of ₹10,000 (~$116.42).

The project’s estimated cost is ₹10.57 million (~$123,069.88).

  • Group-B ( Mukatsar Sahib, Fazilka, and Faridkot government hospitals): Bidders must submit an EMD of ₹354,200 (~$4,123.73) and a document fee of ₹10,000 (~$116.42).

The project’s estimated cost is ₹17.71 million (~$206,203).

  • Group-C (Tarn Taran government hospitals): Bidders must submit an EMD of ₹144,500 (~$1,682.32) and a document fee of ₹5,000 (~$58.21).

The project’s estimated cost is ₹7.22 million (~$84,068).

  • Group-D (Malerkotla, MKH Patiala, DH Barnala, and Mansa government hospitals): Bidders must submit an EMD of ₹478,000 (~$5,564.82) and a document fee of ₹10,000 (~$116.42).

The project’s estimated cost is ₹23.89 million (~$278,190).

  • Group-E (SAS Nagar, Fatehgarh Sahib, Roopnagar, SBS Nagar, Moga, and Ferozepur government hospitals): Bidders must submit an EMD of ₹1.23 million (~$14,319.53) and a document fee of ₹30,000 (~$349.28).

The project’s estimated cost is ₹61.46 million (~$715,679.2).

All projects must be completed within six months of the tender award.

Bidders must have installed and commissioned solar photovoltaic systems with a cumulative capacity of 2,000 kW over the past five financial years.

They must submit a list of commissioned projects along with copies of commissioning certificates, work orders, contracts, or agreements issued by the clients or owners.

These projects must be verified by state nodal agencies, government agencies, or purchasers (private organizations or autonomous bodies).

Bidders must have an average annual turnover of at least ₹50 million (~$582,269) during any three of the last four years.

In July 2024, the Punjab Energy Development Agency issued a tender for the design, supply, installation, and commissioning of 20 MW of grid-connected rooftop and ground-mounted solar photovoltaic systems on government buildings across Punjab and Chandigarh.
