Project Finance Brief: Neoen Sells 760 MW Operating Renewable Portfolio in France
Standard Solar acquires two community solar projects from Cenergy Powe

Neoen, an independent renewable energy producer that develops, finances, builds, and operates large-scale solar, wind, and battery storage projects, has entered into an agreement with Plenitude, a subsidiary of Eni, to sell a 760 MW portion of its French operating asset portfolio. The portfolio consists of 52 renewable energy assets, which include 37 solar projects, 14 onshore wind projects, and one battery storage project.
Standard Solar, a community solar project developer, announced the acquisition of two community solar projects totaling 9 MW in Illinois from Cenergy Power, a solar project developer. The Worden project in Worden, Illinois, is a 6.7-MW single-axis tracker community solar project that is expected to produce about 11,060 MWh of clean energy in its first year. The Zion Park District project is a 2.4 MW ground-mounted community solar project in Zion, Illinois, and is anticipated to generate 3,529 MWh annually.
Northland Power, a renewable energy project developer, announced the acquisition of two battery energy storage systems totaling 300 MW/1.2 GWh in Poland. The projects were acquired from Greenvolt Power, a renewable energy project developer. The project portfolio consists of the 200 MW/800 MWh Mieczysławów project and the 100 MW/400 MWh Kamionka project, both with a four-hour duration. The projects are located in western Poland.
CrossBoundary Energy, a renewable energy developer, secured $200 million of additional senior debt, closing a second tranche of a portfolio financing facility arranged by the Standard Bank of South Africa Limited (SBSA), which was first closed in December 2024.
JUWI, a wholly owned subsidiary of MVV Energie AG, signed an agreement with Mirova, an asset management firm and an affiliate of Natixis Investment Managers, for the sale of the 156 MW Clover solar project portfolio in Greece. The Clover solar portfolio, developed by JUWI Hellas, comprises four projects located in the regional units of Kozani and Grevena in Northwest Greece.
Recurrent Energy, a solar and energy storage project developer and wholly owned subsidiary of Canadian Solar, announced the sale of its Gunning hybrid solar and battery storage project in Australia to a European infrastructure and investment group. Gunning Energy Park, located in New South Wales, comprises a 275 MW solar plant with a 120 MW battery energy storage system, which will connect to the National Electricity Market via a Transgrid transmission line.
