Oriano Wins EPC Contract for 184 MW Solar Projects in Madhya Pradesh
The company secured the contract from Blueleaf Energy

Renewable energy engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) services provider Oriano Clean Energy has been awarded an EPC contract to build 184 MW solar projects in Agar, Malwa, Madhya Pradesh, by Blueleaf Energy, a pan-Asian renewable energy platform.
The scope of work includes design, engineering, supply of the balance of photovoltaic equipment, installation, testing, commissioning, and civil construction works, including 33/ 220 kV PSS switchyard, 33 kV interconnecting lines, and a 220 kV transmission line.
Oriano Power’s executed and under-progress orders stand at more than 1.5 GW, with more than 1 GW commissioned and the balance under execution.
Oriano provides solar solutions across various consumer segments and is active in 15 states.
Last year, Oriano constructed more than 500 MW of projects and is targeting to commission more than 1 GW of projects this year.
Blueleaf Energy develops, finances, owns, and operates renewables and storage assets to accelerate the energy transition towards net zero. It has a development pipeline of solar, wind, and storage projects in excess of 7 GW.
Oriano, along with Waaree Renewable Technologies, Prozeal Green Energy, Tata Power Solar, and Gensol Engineering, emerged as the top utility-scale solar EPC service providers in 2023, according to Mercom’s India Solar Market Leaderboard CY 2023. Oriano was the top EPC player with a market share of 14.8%, followed by Waaree Renewable Technologies and Prozeal Green Energy with 13.7% and 13.6%, respectively.
In 2022, Oriano commissioned a 70 MW captive solar power project at Kakrel, Nawagaon, and Baigatola villages of Rajnandgaon district in Chhattisgarh for a steel and ferroalloy manufacturing plant.
In August, Blueleaf Energy announced the financial closure of its 200 MW wind-solar hybrid power project, which is under development in Madhya Pradesh. It secured around $170 million in financing from Axis Bank for the Pachora hybrid power project.
