Odisha Renewable Energy Development Agency (OREDA) has issued an empanelment tender to commission 38 ten metric-ton solar cold storage units.

Selected bidders must provide five years of comprehensive maintenance. The number of projects can be increased to 100 units, and the price bid will be valid for one year.

The last day to submit the bids is December 20, 2023. Bids will be opened on December 22.

Bidders must submit a bid security of ₹2.4 million (~$28,798).

Selected bidders must submit 10% of the total project cost as a performance guarantee.

The cold storage system must be in a 200’ by 8’ by 8’ (L x W x H)  configuration with varying solar capacities of 10 kW, 14 kW, or 7 kW. The modules used should be 300Wp or higher.

The cold storage units must carry a five-year warranty. The modules used should be warranted for their output peak watt capacity at not less than 90% at the end of 10 years and 80% at the end of 25 years.

Bidders should have cumulative experience executing contracts of supply of at least ten solar cold storage systems of any capacity to government, public sector undertakings, or registered co-operative societies in the last five years.

They should have an average annual turnover of ₹50 million (~$599,959) during the last three years from solar cold storage business only. Bidders must submit the turnover certificate certified by a charted accountant as proof.

They should also have a positive net worth in the last financial year.

In case of delay, liquidated damages at 1% of the agreed-upon price will be charged each week of the delay from the target date of delivery. This sum will be calculated pro-rata for each day of delay, subject to a maximum of 5% of the contract value.

In September, OREDA invited bids for the selection of vendors to commission off-grid solar water pumping systems of 1 HP -7.5 HP capacities.
