NTPC Tenders 870 kW of Solar Rooftop Projects in Uttar Pradesh

The National Thermal Power Corporation (NTPC) has invited bids for 870 kW of rooftop solar projects at its generating stations in Uttar Pradesh.
The project entails the supply and erection of grid-connected rooftop solar photovoltaic systems on the roof of NTPC’s Stage-2 TG hall in Vindhyachal.
The last date for the submission of bids is December 27, 2019. The tender states that the timeline for the completion of the work is six months.
The scope of the work includes the design, manufacturing, supply, and commissioning of the projects on a turnkey basis. The tender also specifies that the winning bidder must also operate and maintain the project for one year.
Interested bidders are expected to pay an earnest money deposit of ₹500,000 (~$7,033). Bidders are expected to be solar developers or parties who have experience completing similar projects of at least 700 kW capacity. At least one of these projects must have been 100 kW or higher in capacity and should have run successfully for at least six months.
The tender also stated that bidders must have a turnover of at least ₹35.6 million (~$500,793) in the last three financial years. The net worth of the bidder should not be lesser than 100% of the bidder’s paid-up share capital.
Earlier, NTPC issued a tender to install rooftop solar projects totaling 500 kW at various locations of Kanti Bijlee Utpadan Nigam Limited located in Muzaffarpur district of Bihar. The KBUNL is a wholly-owned subsidiary of NTPC which owns and operates the 610 MW thermal power station located at the Kanti block of Muzaffarpur district of Bihar.
Recently, it also issued a tender to install a 900-kW rooftop solar PV system at NTPC-Bongaigaon thermal power project in the Kokrajhar district of Assam.
