NTPC REL Tenders EPC Package for 300 MW Solar Project in Rajasthan
The last date for the submission of bids is December 12, 2024
October 29, 2024
NTPC Renewable Energy (NTPC REL) has invited bids for the engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) of a 300 MW ground-mounted solar power project connected to the interstate transmission system (ISTS) near NTPC Anta, Rajasthan.
The last date for submitting bids is December 12, 2024. Bids will be opened the same day.
The scope of work involves securing land for the solar project and overseeing the complete design, EPC, manufacturing, supply, packing and forwarding, transportation, unloading, storage, installation, and commissioning of the solar project.
The scope also includes developing the power evacuation system to transmit power from the project to the NTPC Anta substation and a terminal bay at the substation.
NTPC REL plans to fund this package through its resources or borrowings.
Bidders must pay ₹22,500 (~$269.5) for the bidding document and accompany each bid with a bid security of ₹200 million (~$2.3 million).
They must have designed, supplied, installed (or supervised installation), and commissioned (or supervised commissioning) solar projects with a minimum cumulative capacity of 40 MW.
At least one of these projects should have a capacity of 10 MW or higher, and this reference project must have been operating for at least six months before the bid opening.
Bidders who develop solar projects must also have a minimum cumulative installed capacity of 40 MW, including at least one project of 10 MW or higher that has operated for at least six months before the bid opening.
Bidders are also eligible if they have completed an industrial project in the past ten years as either a developer or EPC contractor in sectors such as power, steel, oil and gas, petrochemical, fertilizer, cement, coal mining (including coal handling), or other process industries.
The project must have been worth at least ₹2.4 billion (~$28.5 million). It should have operated for at least one year (or six months for renewable energy projects like solar or wind) prior to the bid opening.
Additionally, bidders should have implemented at least one electrical substation with a 33 kV or higher voltage, including circuit breakers and power transformers. This substation should have operated for at least one year (or six months for renewable energy projects).
The bidders’ average annual turnover during the previous three financial years must be at least ₹2.4 billion (~$28.5 million).
Their net worth, as of the last day of the preceding financial year, should be at least 100% of their paid-up share capital.
In August 2024, NTPC REL invited bids for land and power evacuation packages to develop 1,000 MW solar power projects in the Mandsaur region, Madhya Pradesh.
In the same month, NTPC REL was among the five winners of SJVN’s auction to establish up 1.2 GW ISTS-connected solar projects.
