NTPC Floats O&M Tender for a 50 MW Solar Project in Madhya Pradesh

NTPC Limited has issued a notice inviting tender (NIT) for comprehensive operation and maintenance (O&M) of its 50 MW NTPC Rajgarh solar project in Madhya Pradesh for three years.

The last day to submit the bids is May 24, 2022. Bids will be opened on the next day.

Bidders must pay ₹5,310 (~$69) towards the cost of bidding documents and tender fee. Successful bidders must furnish an earnest money deposit of ₹1 million (~$13,073).

Bidders must have executed a contract to install and commission at least one grid-connected solar project of a minimum 30 MW capacity in the last seven years before the techno-commercial bid opening date.

Alternatively, they can submit bids if they have executed a contract to operate and maintain at least one grid-connected solar project of a minimum 30 MW capacity in the last seven years before the techno-commercial bid opening date.

Bidders must have an average annual turnover of a minimum of ₹30.9 million (~$403,958) during the preceding three financial years as of the date of techno-commercial bid opening. As of the last day of the preceding financial year, their net worth should not be less than 100% of the bidders’ paid-up share capital.

For bidders meeting the net worth requirement based on the strength of their subsidiaries, holding companies, or subsidiaries of its holding companies, net worth should not be less than 100% of their combined paid-up share capital. However, their net worth should not be less than 75% of their respective paid-up share capital.

If the bidder does not satisfy the financial criteria, its holding company would be required to meet the stipulated turnover requirements. The net worth of such holding company as of the last day of the preceding financial year must be at least equal to or more than the paid-up share capital of the holding company.

In such an event, bidders must furnish, along with their techno-commercial bid, a letter of undertaking from the holding company, supported by board resolution, pledging unconditional and irrevocable financial support for the execution of the contract by the bidders in case of successful bids.

NTPC Limited has issued a notice inviting tender from contractors for the operation and maintenance of a 10 MW solar project at its Talcher Super Thermal Power Station in Kaniha, Odisha, for three years.

According to Mercom’s India Solar Tender Tracker, NTPC has floated O&M tenders for 610 MW solar power projects.
