NTPC Vidyut Vyapar Nigam (NVVN), a wholly owned subsidiary of NTPC, has invited bids to enlist engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) contractors to develop floating and ground-mounted solar power projects up to 10 MW.

The enlistment will be valid for one year, with a provision for extending it for another year if necessary.

The last day to submit the bids is August 21, 2023. Bids will be opened the next day.

Bidders must have developed, designed, erected, commissioned, or supervised EPC activities for grid-connected solar power projects with a cumulative capacity of 800 kW or higher. At least one project must have 100 kW or higher capacity and be in operation for at least six months before the bid opening date.

Alternatively, bidders must have experience executing an industrial project in power, steel, oil and gas, petrochemical, fertilizer, cement, coal mining, or any other process industry, with a minimum value of ₹40 million (~$486,333) for a single project that has been successfully operating for at least one year before the bid opening.

Bidders must have experience executing at least one electrical substation of 33 kV or above voltage level that includes equipment such as 33 kV or above voltage level circuit breakers and power transformer and has been successfully operating for at least one year before the bid opening.

Recently, NVVN invited bids from enlisted developers for setting up a 1.5 MW grid-connected solar power project at IIM Bodh Gaya.

Earlier, NTPC Renewable Energy, another wholly-owned subsidiary of NTPC, reissued the tender to supply battery energy storage systems for solar power projects at the Khavda Renewable Energy Park in the Kutch region of Gujarat. The tender was previously issued in November last year.
