NTPC has invited bids to select developers to supply 1,200 MW of firm and dispatchable power (assured peak power supply) from interstate transmission system (ISTS)-connected renewable energy projects anywhere in India on a built-own-operate arrangement.

The last date for submitting bids is July 23, 2024. Bids will be opened on the same day.

Bidders have to pay ₹22,500 (~$270.5) for the document.

The earnest money deposit (EMD) will be calculated as = [₹1.15 million (~$13,923) * rated cumulative installed capacity of solar component (MW) as quoted by bidder + ₹1.38 million (~$16,664.8) * rated cumulative installed capacity of wind component (MW) as quoted by the bidder + ₹480,000 (~$5,771.5) * rated cumulative installed capacity of the ESS component (MWh) as quoted by the bidder]

Micro and Small Enterprises with UDYAM registration need not pay the tender document and processing fees, and EMD.

NTPC retains the authority to decline any or all bids or annul/withdraw the invitation for bids without providing any explanation, and in such instances, no bidder or prospective bidder can make any claims resulting from such actions.

The transfer of tender documents purchased by one intending bidder to another is not allowed.

Bidders from countries that share a land border with India can participate in this tender only if they are registered with the competent authority.

However, the registration requirement does not apply to bidders from countries (even those sharing a land border with India) to which the Government of India has extended lines of credit or is involved in development projects.

Last month, NTPC Renewable Energy invited bids for the engineering, procurement, and construction package for 225 MW of grid-connected solar power projects to be set up in Gujarat State Electricity Corporation (GSECL)’s renewable energy park at Khavda (GSECL Stage-3).

Recently, NTPC REL also invited bids for land and power evacuation packages to develop 900 MW ISTS-connected solar power project in the Neemuch Region of Madhya Pradesh.
