NTPC Invites Bids for 20 MW Solar Project in Madhya Pradesh

NTPC has invited bids for a 20 MW ground-mounted solar project in the MGR Bulb area of NTPC Vindhyachal in Madhya Pradesh.
The scope of work covers the design, engineering, supply, erection, and commissioning of the project. It also includes three years of the project’s operation and maintenance and an annual maintenance contract for critical equipment.
The last date to submit the bids is September 3, 2024. Bids will be opened on the same day.
Bidders must pay ₹22,500 (~$269) for the documents and a bid security of ₹10 million (~$119,461).
Bidders should:
- have experience in the design, supply, and erection or supervised erection and commissioned, or supervised commissioning of solar photovoltaic (SPV)-based grid-connected power project(s) of cumulative installed capacity of 17 MW or above, out of which one project should be of 10 MW capacity or above. The latter should have operated for at least six months before the bid opening date.
- be a developer of SPV-based grid-connected power project(s) with a cumulative installed capacity of 17 MW or above, of which at least one project should have a capacity of 10 MW or above. The latter should have operated for at least six months before the bid opening date.
- have executed an industrial project in the last ten years either as a developer or an EPC contractor in the following areas: power/steel/oil and gas/petrochemical/fertilizer/cement/coal mining, including coal handling projects and or other process industry worth ₹760 million (~$9.07 million) or more in a single project and the same should have operated for at least a year prior to the date of the bid opening.
- have executed at least one electrical substation of 33 kV or above voltage level as a developer or an EPC contractor.
The bidders’ annual turnover should have been at least ₹760 million (~$9.07 million) during the previous three financial years as of the opening date of the bid.
The net worth of the bidders should not be less than 100% of their paid-up share capital of the previous financial year.
Earlier, NTPC Renewable Energy, an NTPC subsidiary, issued a tender for an engineering, procurement, and construction package to develop solar projects of a cumulative capacity of 795 MW (2×275 MW + 1×245 MW) at Khavda RE Power Park, Rann of Kutch, in Gujarat.
