NTPC Green Energy (NGEL) has invited bids to develop a 215 MW wind project for IndianOil NTPC Green Energy (INGEL), a 50:50 joint venture between NGEL and the Indian Oil Corporation, at the Anantapur-II interstate transmission system (ISTS) substation in Andhra Pradesh under Tranche-III.
Bids must be submitted by March 27, 2026. Bids will be opened on the same day.
The scope of work entails the design, engineering, micro-siting, manufacturing, erection, testing, installation, and commissioning of the wind project. It also involves providing comprehensive operation and maintenance services for 10 years, as well as the supply of mandatory spares.
Selected bidders must provide the project, unit substation, 33kV internal evacuation lines from this substation, the pooling substation, and the central monitoring and control station. They must also provide the wind-monitoring masts and the external extra-high-voltage (EVH) transmission line to the ISTS substation.
They must construct all the project site roads, storage area, and sheds. They must obtain the project transfer of title/lease deeds, the right-of-way, and infrastructure development approvals, and transfer them to NGEL.
They must also undertake the associated civil works and geotechnical investigations, construct all associated Wind turbine generator (WTG) and unit substation foundations, control cabins for housing the control panel near the tower base (if required), an office-cum-control room building, and permanent water supply arrangements.
Selected bidders must provide the internal high-tension overhead lines, system controls, metering stations, and EVH substations with the necessary switchgear. They must also provide the inland transportation and insurance for delivery at the project site on a free-on-road basis.
WTGs for the projects must comply with the Approved List of Models and Manufacturers and must have a capacity of 3 MW each. Power evacuation approvals and clearances from the environmental agency, the central/state nodal renewable energy agency, the electricity utility, forest authorities, and the Ministry of Defence must be obtained by the selected bidders.
Recently, NTPC Renewable Energy (NTPC REL) issued a tender for the development of a 540 MW wind energy project at the ISTS substation Anantapur-III in Andhra Pradesh under Tranche-II.
In March 2025, NTPC REL invited bids for the supply and installation of 224 WTGs for a 672 MW wind power project in Solapur, Maharashtra.
