NTPC Issues EPC Tender for 26 MW Floating Solar Project in Chhattisgarh

NTPC has invited bids for the engineering, procurement, and construction of a 26 MW floating solar power project at Reservoir 1B of NTPC Sipat Thermal Power Plant in Bilaspur, Chhattisgarh.

The scope of work includes the design, erection, testing, and commissioning of the floating solar project along with the power evacuation system, including the supply and installation of solar modules in the designated area. It also includes three years of operation and maintenance of the project and annual maintenance of critical equipment.

The last date to submit the bids is March 28, 2024. Bids will be opened on the same day.

Bidders must submit ₹22,500 (~$271) towards the cost of bidding documents and ₹20 million (~$241,321) as bid security.

Bidders should have designed, supplied, erected, or supervised erection and commissioned or supervised commissioning or developed grid-connected solar power projects with a cumulative capacity of 20 MW or higher. Out of this, at least one project should have been of 10 MW or higher capacity at a single location and must have been in operation for at least six months before the bid opening date.

Grid-connected rooftop solar power projects developed through special-purpose vehicles will also be considered for the qualification process.

Alternatively, bidders should have executed an industrial project either as a developer or an EPC contractor in the area of power, steel, oil and gas, petrochemical, fertilizer, cement, coal mining (including coal handling plant), or any other process industry, of a value of ₹1.1 billion (~$13.27 million) or more in a single project in the last ten years. The project should be in operation for at least one year before the bid opening date.

They should have also executed at least one electrical substation of 33 kV or above voltage level, consisting of 33 kV or above voltage level circuit breakers and power transformers as a developer or an EPC contractor. The transmission project must be in operation for at least one year before the bid opening date.

Bidders should have an average annual turnover of ₹1.1 billion (~$13.27 million) during the last three financial years. Their net worth should not be less than their 100% paid-up share capital.
