NTPC Invites Bids to Supply Modules for 1.46 GW of Solar Projects

NTPC Renewable Energy, a wholly-owned subsidiary of NTPC, has invited bids for the supply of solar modules for the Shajapur solar project (458.25 MW), Bhuj solar project (375 MW), and Bhadla solar project (625 MW).

The scope of work includes manufacturing, supply, packing, forwarding, and transportation of open category crystalline solar modules as per the wattage and dimensions mentioned in the tender.

The last date to submit the bids is July 6, 2023. Bids will be opened on the same day.

Bidders can quote for different packages.

The Shajapur Unit 1, with a total capacity of 149.53 MW, comes under Package A. The Shajapur Unit 2, with a total capacity of 313.3 MW, comes under Package B. The select contractor must supply the Monofacial modules for both packages.

The Bhuj solar project in Gujarat, with a total capacity of 378.75 MW, comes under Package C. The Bhadla project, with a total capacity of 631.2 5 MW, comes under Package D. The contractor must supply Bifacial modules for these two packages.

The bid security deposit as per the bid capacities is given below:

Bidders should have supplied solar modules or solar cells for a cumulative capacity of 40 MW or above, out of which at least one such supply order should have been 10 MW or above capacity before the bid opening date.

The average annual turnover of the bidder should be at least ₹1 billion (~$12.13 million) for bid capacity up to 315 MW, and for bid capacity greater than 315 MW and up to 630 MW, the average annual turnover should be ₹3 billion (~$36.39 million).

For a quoted bid capacity greater than 630 MW and up to 945 MW, the turnover should be at least ₹7 billion (~$84.93 million), and for a bid capacity greater than 945 MW and up to 1,260 MW, the turnover should be at least ₹13 billion (~$157.73 million).

For a capacity greater than 1,260 MW and up to 1,575 MW, the turnover should be at least ₹19 billion (~$230.53 million).

The net worth of the bidders as of the last day of the preceding financial year should not be less than 100% of their paid-up share capital.

In November last year, NTPC Renewable Energy invited bids for the supply of solar modules for 325 MW of solar projects in Shajapur Solar Park, Madhya Pradesh.

Earlier, NTPC had invited bids for a solar photovoltaic module package for the 735 MW (3*245MW) Nokh Solar Project in Rajasthan.
