NTPC Renewable Energy, a wholly-owned subsidiary of NTPC, has invited bids for land and extra high voltage (EHV) transmission system package for the development of up to 2 GW of interstate transmission system (ISTS)-connected solar power projects in Rajasthan (Tranche-III).

The successful bidder must also manage the operation and maintenance of the EHV transmission line and terminal bay at the ISTS end for three years from the project commissioning date.

The last date to submit the bids is November 14, 2023. Bids will be opened on the same day.

The minimum capacity quoted by an individual bidder should be 300 MW, followed by higher multiples of 100 MW.

The successful bidder will be responsible for arranging private land equivalent to 5 acres/MW on a lease basis in the non-Great Indian Bustard (GIB) zones of Bikaner or nearby areas in Rajasthan. The lease period must be for a minimum period of 30 years.

If required, a maximum of 10% of the total land can be government land to provide a contiguous land parcel for the project.

The successful bidder will also be responsible for the topography survey for land parcels and any cutting or filling with 95% compaction per standard proctor density test to maintain an average slope of 10% for project land to install tracker-based module mounting structures.

Bidders should have executed grid-connected solar projects, solar parks, wind projects, wind parks, or a combination thereof, of a cumulative capacity of 100 MW or higher, of which at least one project should have been 50 MW or higher capacity.

The reference project of 50 MW or above capacity should be at a single location.

The average annual turnover of bidders should be at least ₹67.5 million (~$812,032) for capacity above 50 MW and up to 300 MW and ₹225,000 (~$2,707)/MW of the total quoted capacity for capacity above 300 MW.

If the bidder does not satisfy the annual turnover criteria stipulated above, its holding company must meet the stipulated turnover requirements.

Bidders must have a positive net worth as of the last day of the preceding financial year.

Recently, NTPC invited bids to set up 1,500 MW of ISTS-connected solar power projects across India.
