The Tinsukia Division of Northeast Frontier Railway has floated a tender to provide 1.38 MW rooftop solar power systems at stations, service buildings, residential buildings, and gates under its jurisdiction.

The last date for the submission of bids is December 12, 2024.

The scope of work includes five years of operation and maintenance, during which all materials used must comply with the Indian Standards Institute (ISI) or Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE)-accredited laboratory certification standards. Additionally, bidders are required to adhere to the Make in India policy by ensuring the inclusion of local content.

The advertised value of the project is ₹78.17 million (~$927,678). Bidders will have eight months to complete the project.

The tender includes the installation of various capacities of solar power systems, including grid-connected systems ranging from 15 kW to 350 kW for stations and service buildings, 2 kW grid-connected systems for residential buildings (485 units), and off-grid systems of 1 kW and 850 kW for its gates.

Bidders have to submit an earnest money deposit (EMD) of ₹540,900 (~$6,419).

Bidders must have completed any of the following in the last seven years:

• Three similar works, each costing at least 30% of the advertised value
• Two similar works, each costing at least 40% of the advertised value
• One similar work costing at least 60% of the advertised value

Similar work is defined as the supply, installation, testing and commissioning of solar projects  with a single work of a minimum 30% rating of total tendered quantity/capacity in specified locations.

The minimum average annual contractual turnover should be V/N or V, whichever is less, where V = advertised value of the tender in rupees and N = number of years prescribed for completion of work.

The Tinsukia Division issued two tenders to provide 3.2 MW rooftop solar systems at various buildings, service stations, staff quarters, and parking areas in Guwahati. The last date to submit the bids is December 6, 2024.

The division also invited bids for 5.7 MW rooftop solar power projects to install rooftop solar systems on service, residential, and station buildings. The last date to submit the bids is December 5, 2024.
