Madhya Pradesh Urja Vikas Nigam (MPUVNL) has invited bids to standardize rates and select contractors for 26 MW of grid-connected and off-grid rooftop solar systems under engineering, procurement, and construction mode.

The last date to submit the bids is December 9, 2024. Bids will be opened on January 2, 2025.

The project capacity is divided into four groups:

• Group A includes off-grid systems with a 4.8 kVAh battery per kW, and the project capacity ranges from a minimum of 1 kW to a maximum of 25 kW.
• Group B comprises grid-connected rooftop solar systems between 1 kW and 3 kW.
• Group C comprises grid-connected rooftop solar systems larger than 3 kW and up to 10 kW.
• Group D features grid-connected rooftop solar systems larger than 10 kW and up to 500 kW.

The bid security amount for Group A is ₹450,000 (~$5,335), for Group B it is ₹2.25 million (~$26,679), and ₹4.05 million (~$48,022) for Group C and Group D .

Selected bidders must submit an operation performance bank guarantee equivalent to 20% of the lowest bid for their group within ten days of project commissioning.

The technical eligibility criteria require bidders to meet the specified benchmarks for different project groups independently. Group A bidders must have completed solar projects totaling 120 kW. For Group B bidders, this capacity is 600 kW. Group C and Group D bidders must have completed solar projects of a total capacity of 1,080 kW.

Group A bidders must have an average annual turnover of ₹4.5 million (~$53,358) in the last three financial years. For Group B, the requirement is ₹22.5 million (~$266,790), and ₹40.5 million (~$480,222) for Groups C and D.

Bidders should have a positive net worth in the latest financial year.

In October 2023, MPUVNL invited bids to set up 670 MW grid-connected solar projects under Component C of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Urja Suraksha evam Utthaan Mahabhiyan.
