North Western Railway Invites Bids for 7 MW Rooftop Solar Systems

The Jaipur Division of North Western Railway has invited bids to install 7,287 kW of grid-connected rooftop solar systems atop residential buildings.
The contract value is ₹301.05 million (~$3.6 million).
The last date to submit the bids is August 2, 2024. Bids will be opened on the same day.
Bidders must furnish an earnest money deposit of ₹1.65 million (~$19,754).
The selected bidder must install the system within six months of receiving the work order.
The scope of work includes supplying, installing, and commissioning the grid-connected rooftop solar system with mono crystalline panels, inverters, MS hot-dipped galvanized structures, power conditioning units, junction boxes, AC and DC distribution boards, armored power and control cables, remote data monitoring system, and net metering.
Bidders should have completed three similar works, each costing at least 30% of the contract value, or two similar works, each costing at least 40% of the contract value, or one similar work costing not less than 60% of the contract value during the last seven years.
A similar nature of work here refers to the supply, erection, testing, and commissioning of rooftop solar systems, both off the grid and on the grid, with or without battery backup, for general use or street lights.
Bidders must have a minimum average annual contractual turnover of V/N or V, whichever is less, where V is the value of the tender in crores of rupees and N is the number of years prescribed for the completion of the work for which bids have been invited.
The annual contractual turnover will be calculated as the average total payments over the previous three financial years.
