The Lumding Division (Electrical) of the North East Frontier Railway has invited bids for the provision of 2.5 MW rooftop solar systems at various buildings, service stations, and parking areas in Guwahati.

The last date to submit the bids is December 6, . The bids will be opened on the same day.

Bidders must furnish an earnest money deposit (EMD) of ₹859,300 (~$10,182). The advertised value of the tender is ₹142 million (~$1.68 million).

The project must be completed in 180 .

The successful bidders must operate and maintain the systems for five years from the date of commissioning.

The total capacity must be installed in a distributed manner, with systems  having a capacity between 100KW and 500KW.

The scope of work includes designing and supplying on-grid solar systems without battery backup. The successful bidder will supply 545 Wp or above solar modules using IEC-certified monocrystalline .

Bidders must also supply an on-grid solar PCU / inverter (three-phase unit) with an inbuilt LED display of appropriate capacity.

Bidders must have a minimum average annual contractual turnover of V/N or ‘V,’ whichever is less. V is the Advertised value of the tender, and N is the number of years prescribed for the completion of work for which bids have been invited.

The average annual turnover of the bidders will  be calculated as an average of total contractual payments in the previous three financial years.

They must have experience in similar nature of work and must have completed any of the following during the last seven years:

• Three similar works of work, each costing not less than 30% of the advertised value of the tender.
• Two similar natures of work, each costing not less than 40% of the advertised value of the tender.
• One similar nature of work, each costing not less than the amount equal to 60% of the advertised value of the tender.

Similar nature of works is defined as the supply, installation, testing, and commissioning of a solar power project of a minimum 30% rating of total tendered quantity/capacity in railway stations or metro stations or airports, or any government office, service buildings, or .

The division also issued two tenders for the provision of cumulative 3.2 MW rooftop solar systems at various buildings, service stations, staff quarters, and parking areas in Guwahati. The last date to submit the bids is December 6, 2024.

The division also invited bids for 5.7 MW rooftop solar power projects to install grid-connected rooftop solar systems on service, residential, and station buildings. The last date to submit the bids is December 5, 2024.
