NHPC Invites Bids for 30.93 MW Rooftop Solar Projects in Haryana

NHPC has issued a request for selection for to set up grid-connected rooftop solar projects on government buildings with a cumulative capacity of 30.93 MW across Haryana.

Bids must be submitted by April 22, 2026. Bids will be opened on April 24.

The projects will be implemented across the districts of Ambala, Faridabad, Karnal, Panchkula, Rewari, Rohtak, Gurugram, Hisar, Jhajjar, Jind, Kaithal, Kurukshetra, Mahendragarh, Palwal, Panipat, Sirsa, Yamunanagar, Sonipat, Fatehabad, and Bhiwadi.

Bidders must furnish an earnest money deposit ranging from ₹100,000 (~$1,062.47 ) to ₹380,000 (~$4,037.40), depending on the district, and a tender fee of ₹1,000 (~$10.66 ) for Sonipat, ₹1,500 (~$15.99 ) for districts such as Gurugram and Hisar, and ₹5,000 (~$53.30 ) for larger districts such as Ambala, Faridabad, Karnal, Panchkula, Rewari, and Rohtak.

The selected bidder must submit an additional project management consultancy charge of ₹1,350 (~$14.39)/kW.

The scope of work includes the design, engineering, procurement, installation, testing, commissioning, and operation and maintenance (O&M) of the rooftop solar systems, as well as obtaining all permits and approvals.

The projects must be completed within nine months of signing the power purchase agreement.

The tender mandates a minimum of 50% local content for Class-I suppliers. Performance security has been specified at ₹2,250 (~$23.98)/kW, rather than as a percentage-based requirement.

Bidders must have a minimum net worth of ₹9,000 (~$95.98)/kW, or turnover of ₹4,500 (~$47.99)/kW, or profit before depreciation, interest, and taxes of ₹900 (~$9.59)/kW, or a line of credit of ₹1,125 (~$11.99)/kW.

Recently, NHPC invited bids to set up 23.34 MW of grid-connected rooftop solar projects on government buildings across the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir.

In the same month, NHPC invited bids for the installation of 16.64 MW of rooftop solar projects on government buildings of central ministries across India.
