Neyveli Lignite Corporation India Tenders 250 MW Solar in Odisha

Neyveli Lignite Corporation (NLC) has tendered 250 MW (AC) of large-scale solar projects in the state of Odisha. The projects will be spread over five locations with a minimum capacity of 50 MW each. The bid-submission deadline is March 1, 2017. Contractors will be selected through a competitive bidding process.

The scope of work includes, land procurement, design, engineering, manufacture, inspection at suppliers’ works, supply, insurance, transport, erection, storage, testing, commissioning, and provisional takeover with power evacuation system including grid-connectivity and approval from Odisha State Electricity Authorities.

The successful developers will also need to provide operation and maintenance for the projects for a period of 15 years after commissioning.

This is the second tender issued by NLC this year. Mercom previously reported that NLC tendered 500 MW (AC) of solar in the state of Tamil Nadu.
