National Fertilizers Floats Tender for 1,500 kW Rooftop Solar Project in Panipat

National Fertilizers (NFL) has invited expressions of interest for the pre-qualification of lump-sum turnkey (LSTK) bidders to set up a 1,500 kW grid-connected rooftop solar project at its premises in Panipat.
The last day to submit the bids is September 16, 2024.
The scope of work covers the design, detail engineering, and supply of the rooftop solar system with all accessories, including solar modules, mounting structures, and inverters, necessary for the project’s operation.
They will be responsible for procuring and supplying materials and equipment, construction and erection, testing, commissioning, and providing performance guarantee assurance. All supply and works will conform to the Ministry of New & Renewable Energy (MNRE), Haryana Renewable Energy Development Agency guidelines, State Electricity Board, and Central Electricity Authority Regulations. The successful bidder must also operate and maintain the rooftop solar system for five years.
Bidders must submit the model of solar modules and inverter control units per MNRE guidelines for approval.
The bidder must be an established LSTK contractor who has completed projects within the last seven years. The completed project’s scope of work must include the design, supply, procurement, installation, testing, commissioning, guarantee test, operation, and maintenance of the grid-interactive equipment.
The project must have an 80% rating of 1,500 kW or above and should have been in operation for at least two years.
The bidder’s average annual financial turnover during the last three years should be at least ₹21.5 million (~$256,289).
The bidder should have completed any of the following:
- A single order costing not less than ₹57.4 million (~$684,252)
- Two orders each costing not less than ₹35.9 million (~$427,960)
- Three orders each costing not less than ₹28.7 million (~$342,129)
National Fertilizers operates five urea manufacturing units at Nangal, Bathinda, Panipat, Vijaipur-I, and Vijaipur-II. The company is planning to install the rooftop solar system at NFL Panipat.
Government-owned public sector units are increasingly adopting solar. Recently, NTPC Vidyut Vyapar Nigam (NVVN) released a tender for 25.65 MW of grid-connected rooftop solar systems for government buildings in Delhi and adjoining states, including buildings under the Delhi Police.
