MES Floats Tenders for O&M of 3 MW Solar Projects in Rajasthan

The Military Engineer Services (MES), Chief Engineer Bathinda Zone, has invited bids for the operation and maintenance (O&M) of two solar projects in Rajasthan.

Bids must be submitted by April 16, 2025. Bids will be opened on April 23.

Tender 1 (Kanasar)

This tender is for a 1.02 MW solar project at AGE (I) Kanasar. The project’s estimated cost is ₹72.9 million (~$843,000).

Bidders must submit an earnest money deposit of ₹689,000 (~$8,070) and a tender document fee of ₹3,000 (~$34.67).

Successful bidders must furnish a performance bank guarantee of 5% of the contract value.

Tender 2 (Suratgarh)

This tender is for a 2 MW project at GE (A) Suratgarh. The project’s estimated cost is ₹108.8 million (~$1.26 million).

Bidders must furnish an earnest money deposit of ₹869,000 (~$10,040) and a tender document fee of ₹3,000 (~$34.67).

Successful bidders must furnish a performance bank guarantee of 5% of the contract value.

The scope of work for both tenders includes manning, operation, and comprehensive maintenance services for the solar projects for 10 years.

Bidders must have overseen solar projects and completed projects of similar scale in the last seven years. This includes at least one project of 80%, two of 50%, or three of 40% of the tendered capacity.

Bidders must have Class ‘A’ eligibility for the 1.02 MW project and Class ‘S’ for the 2 MW project.

Recently, MES invited bids to repair and maintain a 1 MW solar power project at Bambolim, Goa.

In December 2024, MES invited bids for the comprehensive maintenance of a 1.7 MW solar power project at the Tughlakabad Air Force Station.

In October, MES invited bids for the comprehensive maintenance of a 1.7 MW solar project at the AFS Palam, New Delhi. The project’s estimated cost was ₹2.49 million (~$29,618), with a maintenance period of 270 days.
