MES Floats Tender for Repair and Maintenance of 1 MW Solar Project

The Military Engineer Services (MES) has invited bids to repair and maintain a 1 MW solar power project at Bambolim, Goa.

The last date to submit bids is March 1, 2025. Bids will be opened on March 3.

The project must be completed within 12 months.

The estimated project cost is ₹2.5 million (~$28,777.5).

Bidders must submit an earnest money deposit of ₹50,000 (~$575.55), and 5% of the contract value must be submitted as a performance bank guarantee.

The scope of work involves the supply of materials, repair and maintenance works, testing, replacement of spare parts, and painting.

Bidders must be empanelled with MES.

Bidders must have completed at least one of the following works in the last five years in MES/ Central/ state government / public sector undertakings:

  • Three works worth ₹750,000 (~$8,633.25)
  • Two works worth ₹1 million (~$11,511)
  • One work worth ₹2 million (~$23,022)

Bidders must have an average annual turnover of at least ₹2.5 million (~$28,777.5) in the last two financial years.

The defect liability period for various completed works ranges between 30 days and 36 months.

In 2024, MES invited bids for the comprehensive maintenance of a 1.7 MW solar power project at the Tughlakabad Air Force Station. The contract will be for 330 days.

In the same year, MES floated a tender for repairing and maintaining a 5 MW solar project in Madhya Pradesh. The project’s estimated cost was ₹2.5 million (~$29,953),

Earlier, MES floated a tender for a 1 MW solar power project at the Air Force School in Gwalior. The project’s estimated cost was ₹89.53 million (~$1.07 million).

Earlier, MES floated a tender to complete balance work of 1 MW rooftop solar systems at the Air Force Station in Nagpur.
