The winners of the sixth Mercom India Awards 2026 will be announced during the Mercom India Renewables Summit 2026, and the awards will be presented by Union Minister for New and Renewable Energy Pralhad Joshi.

For over a decade, Mercom India has chronicled India’s transition from conventional energy sources to a cleaner, more sustainable energy future through its market intelligence, research, news coverage, and advisory services. Throughout this journey, the industry has witnessed remarkable innovation, ambitious projects, strategic investments, and technological advancements that have accelerated renewable energy adoption across the country.

The Mercom India Awards were established to recognize the companies, projects, technologies, and individuals driving this transformation. Today, the awards are among the industry’s most recognized platforms for celebrating achievements that are helping shape the future of clean energy in India.

The awards recognize excellence across utility-scale solar, commercial and industrial solar, residential solar, hybrid energy projects, energy storage, engineering, manufacturing, product innovation, and emerging clean energy technologies.

This year, Mercom has introduced three new categories to recognize innovation and research-driven advancements: Emerging Startup Technology of the Year, Research-to-Innovation, and Clean Energy Research Impact.

Awards will also be presented across several established categories, including Best Large-Scale Solar Project, Best C&I Project (Rooftop), Best C&I Project (Ground-Mount), Best Residential Project, Best Hybrid Project, Best Engineered Project, Best Innovation – Product, Best Energy Storage Project, Deal of the Year (Strategic), and Deal of the Year (Financial).

The winners will be announced on July 1, 2026, during the Mercom India Renewables Summit 2026. The awards ceremony will begin at 5:50 PM in the Oval Hall at the Hyatt Regency, New Delhi.

The Mercom India Renewables Summit 2026 will bring together industry leaders, policymakers, investors, developers, manufacturers, and technology providers to discuss the opportunities and challenges shaping the next phase of India’s clean energy growth.

The two-day event will feature discussions on some of the sector’s most pressing issues, including regulatory uncertainty, project execution challenges, transmission and grid readiness, financing, technology deployment, domestic manufacturing, and supply chain development.

For the first time, the Summit will also feature dedicated workshops and focused discussions addressing practical challenges in manufacturing, workforce development, and project procurement.

Together, the Summit and Awards program will provide a platform to recognize industry achievements, showcase innovation, and foster discussions that will help define the future direction of India’s clean energy sector.
