The Maharashtra State Power Generation Company (MAHAGENCO) has issued a tender inviting bids for the manufacture and supply of 750 MWp of solar photovoltaic (PV) modules for projects being developed under the Mukhyamantri Saur Krushi Vahini Yojana (MSKVY 2.0) across the state.
The program aims to reach 30% feeder solarization by 2025 by developing decentralized solar projects of 2 MW to 10 MW capacity within a five-kilometer radius of agriculture-dominated sub-stations.
The last date to submit bids is May 3, 2024. Bids will be opened on the same day.
Bidders must pay a vendor registration fee of ₹29,500 (~$356) to participate, along with an earnest money deposit of ₹12.5 million (~$150,800) per 50 MWp.
The minimum allocation to any bidder will be 50 MWp, with a maximum cap of 300 MWp per supplier.
To qualify, bidders must have previously manufactured and supplied at least 40 MW of solar PV modules, of which at least such supply order must be for a project of 10 MW or higher capacity that has been operational for a year.
They must also be listed module manufacturers under the government’s Approved List of Module Manufacturers and have an annual production capacity of at least ten times the bid capacity.
The net worth of the bidder as of the last day of the preceding financial year should not be less than 100% of their paid-up share capital. While the annual average turnover for the last three financial years must be ₹10 million (~$120,658).
MAHAGENCO also invited bids to set up 502 MW crystalline solar power projects for agriculture feeder solarization under the MSKVY 2.0 program.
Recently, MAHAGENCO invited bids for the procurement of power on a long-term basis through a competitive bidding process from 5,000 MW grid-connected solar photovoltaic power projects.
