Mahatma Phule Renewable Energy & Infrastructure Technology (MAHAPREIT) has invited bids to empanel agencies to verify land titles and measure land parcels spanning 10,000 acres to develop 2,500 MW solar power projects in Maharashtra.
MAHAPREIT is involved in various projects, such as green hydrogen, bio CNG plants, and EV charging stations. Consequently, suitable land parcels will be necessary to execute these projects.
The last day to submit the bids is May 28, 2024. Bids will be opened on the same day.
Bidders must pay the document cost of ₹5,000 (~$59) and a registration fee of ₹50,000 (~$598). They must submit ₹500 (~$5.9)/ acre as a security deposit.
MAHAPREIT will identify available land parcels through government bodies and local administrative bodies. The appointed agency must then engage with district collectors, tahsildars, revenue inspectors, and local authorities to authenticate land titles and measure land parcels within their respective jurisdictions.
The agency must conduct physical visits to identified land parcels to ascertain their status and interact with relevant government bodies, local authorities, and landowners to gather documents such as 7/12 extracts. They must also collaborate with legal and revenue experts to verify the authenticity of identified land documents.
The agency’s responsibilities include comprehending land plans, revenue maps and conducting field measurements according to proposed revenue plans. It must make measurements as per revenue department procedures and physically mark boundary lines on the land parcels for clear identification. The agency must also delineate map boundary lines and submit drawings to MAHAPREIT.
In case of any obstructions or encroachments on the land parcels, the agency must liaise with revenue authorities to remove such obstacles, ensuring the unimpeded development of the land parcels.
Bidders must possess experience in verifying and measuring land acquired from government departments, private landowners, or farmers to establish any project.
They can also submit bids if one of their employee or directors is an experienced retired revenue officer above the rank of deputy collector.
Bidders must have an average financial turnover of ₹15 million (~$179,615) during the last five years.
Recently, MAHAPREIT invited bids to discover tariffs and select project developers to implement 400 MW grid-connected rooftop solar systems under the renewable energy service company model in Maharashtra.
