MAHAGENCO Invites Bids for 65 MW Solar Project in Maharashtra

Maharashtra State Power Generation (MAHAGENCO) has invited bids to select an EPC contractor for the design, engineering, supply, erection, testing, and commissioning of a 65 MW solar project at Chandrapur.

The last date to submit bids is July 30, 2024. Bids will open the same day.

The scope of work includes associated HT overhead transmission line/underground cables, electrical equipment, and construction of bays up to the interconnection at the 400/220 kV Chandrapur – II substation.

The successful bidder must operate and maintain the solar project and evacuation system up to the interconnection for five years.

Bidders must pay a non-refundable registration fee of ₹5,000 (~$59.9) + 18% GST and a non-refundable tender fee of ₹10,000 (~$120) + 18% GST.

They must submit an earnest money deposit (EMD) of ₹6.5 million (~$77,750), valid for 180 days from the bid’s submission date.

Bidders should be developers or have been involved in the design, supply, and erection or supervision and commissioning or supervised commissioning of ground-mounted solar projects with a cumulative installed capacity of 26 MW and at least one project with a 10 MW capacity. The 10 MW project must have operated for at least six months before the bids opened.

The net worth of the bidders should be a minimum of ₹162.5 million (~$1.94 million) as of the previous financial year. Their average annual turnover in the last three years should be at least ₹1.49 billion (~$17.81 million).

In March this year, MAHAGENCO invited bids for an EPC package with land for 600 MW solar power projects and a power evacuation system.
