Madhya Pradesh State Tourism Development Corporation (MPSTDC) has issued a request for proposal (RFP) to set up electric vehicle (EV) charging stations at various facilities for 10 years.
The cost of the bidding document is ₹5,000 (~$60.6).
Bidders must furnish an earnest money deposit (EMD) of ₹5 million (~$60,501). The EMD will be converted into performance security.
The last date for the submission of the bids is December 26, 2022. Bids will be opened the next day.
The eligibility criteria for the bidders require experience in installing over 100 charging points in India spread across 50 cities with a presence in all the metropolises including Mumbai, Chennai, Hyderabad, and Delhi NCR.
Bidders must have executed a similar single order worth ₹50 million (~$605,004) or above.
The scope of work demands the bidders to develop allied civil and electrical infrastructure for operating and managing the EV charging stations.
Apart from getting all approvals, the selected bidders will also be responsible for the operation and management of the installations including the annual maintenance contract (AMC) for the period.
The selected agencies must have a charger management system owned and operated by them.
Further, the agencies are expected to prepare a list of equipment and materials along with their respective costs. The list includes the foundation for the placement of charging units and a central management system.
MPSTDC will provide the selected agencies the access to location and permission to use it for EV charging.
It will supply power to the selected agencies with necessary system reinforcements as and when needed at mutually agreed locations.
Last month, the Ministry of Power issued amendments to charging Infrastructure for EVs. Per the revision, the public charging stations must have a feature of the prepaid collection of service charges with updated rates and discounts for solar hours.
Earlier this year, Satna Municipal Corporation in Madhya Pradesh invited bids to set up 10 EV charging stations at different locations in the city.
