The Kerala government’s Agency for New and Renewable Energy Research and Technology (ANERT) has invited bids for 1.25 MW of rooftop solar projects at 18 locations in Thiruvananthapuram.

The scope of the work includes the design, supply, engineering, erection, testing, and commissioning of grid-connected rooftop solar power projects, along with ten years of operation and maintenance.

The projects will be installed under the Solar City project funded by Smart City Thiruvananthapuram.

The last day to submit the bids is May 10, 2023. The bids will be opened the next day.

The eligible vendors must be registered with ANERT and possess the necessary experience, capability, and expertise to provide the proposed services.

The agency will evaluate the technical bids to determine whether they qualify for the essential eligibility criteria, following which the qualified bidders will be shortlisted.

Bidders will be allocated the capacity based on the lowest bid.

The successful bidder must deposit 3% of the contract as a bank guarantee which will be returned after the commercial operation date.

The solar modules used should be Mono PERC type with a capacity of 500 Wp or above. The modules must be listed in the Approved List of Models and Manufacturers list issued by MNRE.

Modules must be warranted for ten years, and the output peak watt capacity should be at least 90% at the end of 10 years and 80% at the end of 25 years.

The commission of the projects can be extended by 25% of the original time. The maximum extension that can be given for a work will be limited to half the initial completion time.

For any delay in installation and commissioning beyond the period mentioned above, the ANERT will charge a penalty of 0.5% of the order value/week or part thereof, subject to the cost not exceeding 10% of the total cost.

The agency had recently invited bids to develop rooftop solar projects with a cumulative capacity of 100 MW in Thiruvananthapuram.

Earlier, ANERT had invited bids to implement a 1 MW grid-connected solar project at a government medical college campus in Thiruvananthapuram.
