Jharkhand Floats EPC Tenders for 14 MW Solar Projects

Jharkhand Renewable Energy Development Agency (JREDA) has issued two requests for proposals for the engineering, procurement, and commissioning of 14 MW of grid-connected ground-mounted solar projects on government land in Palamu and East Singhbhum districts.

The last date to submit bids is September 23, 2024. Bids will be opened on September 25.

Bidders must pay a performance security deposit of 5% of the operation and maintenance (O&M) contract price. The projects must be completed in 12 months.

Successful bidders will also be responsible for the project’s 25-year comprehensive operation and maintenance.

They must submit a contract security deposit of 10% of the total contract value within 30 days from the date the letter of intent is issued.

Tender 1

JREDA has floated a tender for a 5 MW solar project on government land in East Singhbhum District.

The project’s estimated cost is ₹493.3 million (~$5.23 million).

Bidders must furnish an earnest money deposit of ₹8.79 million (~$104,609). The tender fee is ₹11,800 (~$140).

In the last seven years, bidders should have designed, supplied, installed, and commissioned one of the following:

  • One ground-mounted or floating project with a capacity of 4 MW or above at a single location.
  • Two ground-mounted or floating solar projects, each with a capacity of 2.5 MW or above, at two locations.
  • Three ground-mounted or floating solar projects, each having 2 MW or above capacities at multiple locations.

The bidders’ average annual financial turnover during the last three years should be at least ₹131.79 million (~$1.57 million).

Tender 2

The agency has floated a 9 MW solar project on government land in Palamu District.

The project’s estimated cost is ₹929.7 million (~$11.07 million).

Bidders must furnish an earnest money deposit of ₹18.6 million (~$221,459). The tender fee is ₹11,800 (~$140).

In the last seven years, bidders should have designed, supplied, installed, and commissioned one of the following:

  • One ground-mounted or floating solar project having a capacity of 7.5 MW or above at a single location.
  • Two ground-mounted or floating solar projects, each with a capacity of 4.5 MW or more, at two locations.
  • Three ground-mounted or floating solar projects, each with a capacity of 3.5 MW or above, at multiple locations.

The bidders’ average annual financial turnover during the last three years must be at least ₹288.91 million (~$3.44 million).

JREDA had invited bids for five years of comprehensive O&M of 47 solar mini/micro grids installed in the West Singhbhum district.

In March, JREDA floated a tender for the design, engineering, procurement, supply, construction, and commissioning of 14 MW grid-connected solar projects in Palamu and East Singbhum districts.
