Jammu and Kashmir Energy Development Agency (JAKEDA) has invited bids for supplying, installing, and commissioning grid-connected rooftop solar power projects on government buildings in Jammu and Kashmir (J&K).

The scope of work includes comprehensive maintenance of the rooftop solar systems for five years.

The tentative cumulative capacity of the project is 70 MW, which may increase or decrease by 25% depending on the demand and availability of funds.

The last date for the submission of bids is June 24, 2024.

The cost of the bid document is ₹50,000 (~$599.2). Bidders must also pay an earnest money deposit of ₹5 million (~$59,922) for firms registered outside J&K and ₹2 million (~$23,965.4)for firms registered or incorporated in J&K.

Bidders should have completed projects involving supplying, installing, and commissioning grid-connected or off-grid solar photovoltaic power projects.

This experience should be evidenced by projects carried out from April 1, 2019, up to the month preceding the finalization of the tender, executed either through government organizations, government agencies, state nodal agency (SNAs), public sector units of State or Central Government, or under MNRE-sponsored programs.

Bidders should have commissioned a minimum cumulative capacity of 15 MW of solar projects or commissioned an aggregate capacity of 7.5 MW within the range of 1 kW to 500 kW capacity, specifically in solarization of rooftop on-grid/hybrid and agricultural solar pump projects.

For vendors registered or incorporated in Jammu & Kashmir, the minimum required cumulative capacity of experience is 2.5 MW, focusing on solarization of rooftop on-grid/hybrid and agricultural solar pumps.

Bidders must have an average annual financial turnover of ₹150 million (~$1.7 million) over the last three financial years ending on March 31, 2024.

Bidders registered or incorporated in Jammu & Kashmir must show an average annual financial turnover of ₹40 million (~$479,362.5).

Recently, JAKEDA invited bids to empanel vendors for the rate contract to commission grid-connected solar power projects of 1 kW to 30 kW to solarize 4,000 agricultural pumps.
