ITI Limited, a public sector undertaking under the Department of Telecommunication, has issued a tender for the procurement of 738,000 polycrystalline solar cells.

The tender specifies the procurement of polycrystalline solar cells with a 5BB design, each having a minimum power output of 3.58 Wp and a tolerance of -0% to +2%.

The total capacity of the 738,000 solar cells, each rated at a minimum of 3.58 Wp, amounts to approximately 2.64 MW.

The last date for the submission of bids is January 20, 2025. Bids will be opened on the same day.

Delivery will be divided into three separate lots, with the first lot expected within 30 days of receiving the purchase order.

The financial and compliance terms for the tender include an earnest money deposit amounting to 2% of the tender value, with a maximum cap of ₹500,000 (~$5,830), and a security deposit set at 5% of the order value, capped at ₹1 million (~$11,661).

Payment will be made on a 60-day credit basis from the date of material receipt.

All supplies must originate from the latest production batch, with batch numbers clearly labeled.

Additional conditions for the tender include a final inspection to be conducted at ITI’s premises. Bidders must comply with environmental standards in line with ITI’s ISO 14001 certification.

Vendors categorized as micro, small, and medium enterprises must submit valid registration certificates to qualify for applicable benefits.

Last July , ITI Limited invited bids to empanel agencies for 18 MW grid-connected rooftop solar photovoltaic power systems on identified government buildings in the UT of Jammu and Kashmir.

Recently, ITI Limited invited bids to empanel a partner for the design, supply, installation, testing, and commissioning of various solar systems (off-grid and on-grid) to address various tenders and execution of work orders received by it.
