Indian Oil Corporation (IOCL) Refineries Division has invited bids for the annual operation and maintenance (O&M) contract of the 4,360 kW rooftop solar systems installed at IOCL, Paradip Refinery & Township, in Odisha.

The O&M contract is valid for one year from the site handover date. At IOCL’s sole discretion, the contract can be extended for another year based on the vendor’s performance.

The last date to submit the bids is October 14, 2024. Bids will be opened on October 15.

The tender value is ₹1.12 million (~$13,364.48).

Bidders must pay an earnest money deposit (EMD) of ₹33,000 (~$393.80). The EMD is not required for government and public sector undertakings, joint ventures, subsidiaries of IOCL, and startups.

The bidders’ annual turnover should have been a minimum of ₹7.9 million (~$94,283.75) during any of the three preceding financial years.

They must have worked as a main contractor or subcontractor for similar work in the last seven years. Bidders must have completed either:

  • Three works, each costing not less than ₹3.96 million (~$47,258)
  • Two works, each costing not less than ₹5.28 million (~$63,012)
  • One work costing not less than ₹6.6 million (~$78,758.75)

Bidders must have experience operating and maintaining a minimum 500 kW distributed/single-location solar system in the oil and gas, petrochemical, power, or steel industries during the last ten years.

In May, IOCL invited bids from technical consultants for project management consultancy services to set up renewable energy projects at various locations across India. The contract period will be for three years, with an estimated value of ₹198.6 million (~$2.38 million).

In April, it issued a tender for the engineering, procurement, and construction of a 1 MW grid-connected open access captive solar power project at its Northern Region Pipelines in Kurukshetra, Haryana. In addition to the project’s commissioning, the contract will encompass one year of complete operation and maintenance services following construction and an additional nine years of extended operation and maintenance support.
