Indian Oil Floats EPC Tender for 1 MW Solar Project in Andhra Pradesh

Indian Oil Corporation (IOCL) has invited bids for the engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) contract for a 1 MW solar power project at Southern Region Pipelines in Chittoor, Andhra Pradesh.
In addition to commissioning the project, the contract encompasses one year of complete operation and maintenance services following construction and an additional four years of extended operation and maintenance support.
The last day to submit the bids is April 10, 2024. Bids will be opened the next day.
Bidders must submit an earnest money deposit of ₹518,500 (~$6,234). Selected bidders must submit 10% of the contract value as performance security within 30 days from the date of issue of the bid acceptance.
They must have an annual turnover of ₹32.22 million (~$387,443) during any one of the last three financial years.
Bidders should have completed at least one similar work order of a minimum of ₹26.85 million (~$322,869), two similar works each of ₹21.48 million (~$258,295), or three similar works each of ₹16.11 million (~$193,721) during any of the last seven years.
Bidders should have experience involving EPC of on-grid solar power projects with net metering, gross metering, net billing, or open access projects greater than or equal to 500 kW for any industry.
Failure to complete work within the stipulated time will entail liquidated damages equivalent to 1% of the contract value for each week or part thereof, subject to a maximum of 5% of the contract value.
In December, Indian Oil invited bids for O&M of an existing 1.1 MW solar power project at Indane Bottling Plant, Devanagonthi village in Bengaluru Rural district in Karnataka.
Earlier, IOCL had invited bids from consultants for project management consultancy services to set up a 2.25 MW grid-connected ground-mounted solar power project at its liquefied petroleum gas bottling plant in Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh.
