Himachal Pradesh Power Corporation (HPPCL) has invited bids for the design, supply, construction, installation, and commissioning of a 5 MW solar power project at Bhanjal in the Una district.

The successful bidder must also operate and maintain the project for eight years.

The last date to submit the bids is June 21, 2023. Bids will be opened on the same day.

Bidders must submit ₹5.5 million (~$66,488) as an earnest money deposit.

To be eligible as a contractor, joint venture partner, or subcontractor, the bidder should have experience executing one similar contract worth ₹82.5 million (~$997,318) in the last ten years from the bid submission date. The minimum capacity of the project should be 1.5 MW.

Alternatively, bidders should have executed two similar solar projects worth ₹55 million (~$664,879) each. The minimum capacity of solar projects must be 1 MW each, or they should have executed three similar solar projects worth ₹27.5 million (~$332,439) each. The minimum capacity of solar projects must be 500 kW each.

Also, the bidders should have completed the operation and maintenance works for one year for one solar project with a minimum capacity of 1.25 MW during the last ten years.

Additionally, the minimum average annual turnover of bidders should be at least ₹137.5 million (~$1.66 million) from operations excluding other income for the last three years.

Bidders must provide evidence of their ability to access or have available financial resources, including liquid assets, tangible assets without any financial obligations, lines of credit, and other means of financial support. These resources should be sufficient to fulfill the cashflow requirement of ₹68.7 million (~$830,494) as well as meet the overall cashflow obligations for the contract and any existing commitments.

Recently, HPPCL invited bids for the design, supply, construction, installation, and commissioning of a 12 MW solar power project at Bella Ludhiarchan in the Kangra district of the state.

Earlier, HPPCL had invited bids for the design, supply, construction, installation, and commissioning of a 3 MW solar power project at Sainj in the Kullu district of the state.
