Higher Loan Disbursements Take IREDA’s Revenue Up 25% in Q3 FY 2026

Government-owned lender Indian Renewable Energy Development Agency (IREDA) reported revenue from operations of ₹21.3 billion (~$236.2 million) in the third quarter (Q3) of the financial year (FY) 2026, a 25% year-over-year (YoY) rise from ₹16.98 billion (~$188.3 million).
IREDA attributed the jump in revenue to 32% higher loan disbursements which rose to ₹98.6 billion (~$1.09 billion) from ₹74.49 billion (~$826.0 million) a year ago.
IREDA’s profit after tax (PAT) stood at ₹5.85 billion (~$64.9 million), a 38% YoY jump from ₹4.25 billion (~$47.1 million).
Its earnings per share (EPS) came in at ₹4.97 (~$0.055) against an EPS of ₹4.45 (~$0.049) in the same quarter of the previous year.
In Q3 FY 2026, IREDA’s loan book rose 28% YoY to ₹879.75 billion (~$9.75 billion)from ₹689.6 billion (~$7.65 billion).
9M Results
In the first nine months (9M) of FY 2026, IREDA reported revenue from operations of ₹61.34 billion (~$680.1 million), a 27% YoY jump from ₹48.38 billion (~$536.5 million).
Its PAT stood at ₹13.81 billion (~$153.1 million), a 15% YoY rise from ₹11.97 billion.
IREDA approved loans totaling ₹401 billion (~$4.45 billion), a 29% increase from ₹310.87 billion (~$3.45 billion) during the period. It disbursed loans worth ₹249.03 billion (~$2.76 billion), up 44% from ₹172.36 billion (~$1.91 billion) in the same period last year.
As of December 31, 2025, IREDA reported outstanding loans of ₹879.75 billion (~$9.75 billion), a 28% YoY increase from ₹689.6 billion (~$7.65 billion).
Of the total outstanding loans as of December 31, 2025, ₹254.01 billion (~$2.82 billion) was from the public sector, while ₹625.73 billion (~$6.94 billion) originated from the private sector. The private sector accounted for 71% of IREDA’s total outstanding loan book.
IREDA had outstanding borrowings of ₹731.92 billion (~$8.12 billion) as of December 31, 2025. Domestic borrowings constituted 87% of the total outstanding borrowings, while foreign borrowings made up the remaining 13%.
In Q2 FY 2026, IREDA reported revenue from operations of ₹20.57 billion (~$239.2 million), up 26% YoY from ₹16.30 billion (~$189.5 million).
